Well I have to say, the students over at The Academy for Culinary Arts and Hotel Administration at Bergen Academies in Hackensack really outdid themselves this year. For the past few years I have had the pleasure covering the event and each year the event has gotten better and better. This year the students were very creative. From one student performing as a DJ:
to one as a Pretty in Pink Princess:
a creator of a delicious pomegranate cake:
and one even found the Perfect Man:
All were stupendous!!!
But the Grand Prize Winner was Erika Forys:
for her cake titled "Le Petit Peintre" :
Hope you enjoyed this little party and I really hope you get to go next year, as the Class of 2013 sure looks like they are going to give the Class of 2012 a run for their money.

In the spirit of holiday giving, I got to participate in a wonderful event. The group at Prestige Mini Cooper of Mahwah got together a group of about 35 owners of their very cool car. The owners formed a convoy of their cars to bring toys to the children of the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, a division of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center.
These children suffer from child abuse and neglect. The doctors in charge thanked the owners for such a wonderful gift, and told them their gift goes far beyond just giving a toy. Many of the children don’t know why they are there or why they may have been abandoned. The gifts give the children a new sense of feeling that somewhere out there, someone can and does care about them.
It really was truly great to be a part of such a wonderful event.
